Sentiero alla casa

Path to the house

Food, wine, language, art, places—all are endless in Italy. Four lifetimes would not be enough to explore them.

Il Sentiero alla casa—In Tuscany, it’s fun to get lost. That’s how new discoveries happen—a new wine, fresco, view, or pasta. We often walk a Roman road that joins the path to our house, pausing at the sun-warmed stone wall to admire the grapes. Soon we’re passing scents of roses, lemon, and jasmine. The door is open and we’re home.

Vinification: The grapes of Sentiero alla Casa are carefully selected from the hills of Monte San Savino and Marciano della Chiana. After a controlled fermentation at Agricola St. Luciano, Sentiero receives a traditional vinification of 10-15 days. It is then aged in stainless steel vats, with bottle aging for one month before release.

Tasting Notes: Sentiero is ruby red with garnet reflections, which are accentuated with aging. Its bouquet is fruity, intense and vinous, and has a balanced taste that is dry, harmonious, slightly tannic.

Serving Suggestions: Sentiero pairs particularly well with roasts, poultry, red meat, dry cheeses.
